The Bernard root lifters have been specially developed for the removal of fractured roots or root remnants. In doing so, they combine the properties of a root tip lifter and a periotome. The inside is concave and the side edges are cutting. The ligaments can be separated and the root remnant loosened by rotary movements and light pressure.
